The project is being developed through a phased approach that will proceed on a step by step basis. The pace will reflect changing circumstances that will determine how rapidly the project may be implemented. It is being envisioned as a multi-year effort that will proceed based on successes of its various phases and the availability of funds to support the project.
The development approach will follow the experiences of other similar projects that have been implemented in other third world settings. Initial research is being performed to determine which model to follow and to develop our plans based on the methods successfully deployed by others.
The project is a major project that will require significant funding resources. The major project costs are anticipated to occur early on in the project. In particular, the most expensive expenditure is anticipated to be the purchase of land from private parties. Additional funding will be required to grow the project beyond initial farming activities to include drinking water and sanitation, housing, a community center and other village amenities.
It is anticipated that the major funding sources will come from grants and donations made by organizations and businesses. Future projects may be funded through donations from individuals.
